What Episode Does Sasuke Fight Danzo

One of the most notable bouts in Naruto is Sasuke vs Danzo. What made this bout so memorable was how it turned out to be a watershed moment for Sasuke. Before he recognized what he needed to do, his brother Itachi had to tell him that he was on the wrong side.

In Naruto Shippuden episode 209, Sasuke fights Danzo. “Danzo’s Right Arm” is the title of the episode. It occurs during Naruto Shippuden’s Five Kage Summit arc.

Sasuke vs. Danzo is a unique battle between Sharingan users that shows Sasuke’s Susanoo and Genjutsu talents growing and becoming stronger. Against Danzo’s various nature transformation jutsus, he strains the limits of his Mangekyo Sharingan.

In an attempt to kill Sasuke and Tobi in one final blast, Danzo uses the Reverse Four Symbols Sealing, but the two manage to escape the range of the ninjutsu. Danzo managed to steal Shisui’s Sharingan and keep it away from Tobi.

Why does Sasuke fight Danzo?

Following the duel between Naruto and Madara, Sasuke faces Danzo. He planned to assassinate Danzo because he suspected Danzo of being involved in Itachi’s death. According to Obito, Itachi sacrificed himself for the good of the community, and Danzo’s involvement with the Elders was one of the key causes of Itachi’s death. He disapproves of Danzo’s usage of Itachi and that he forced him to slaughter his clan. Sasuke also intends to assault and kill everyone in Leaf Village. He believes Itachi is the reason for the Leaf Village’s tranquillity, something he believes they do not deserve. Sasuke saw Danzo’s appearance at the Five Kage Summit as an opportunity to exact vengeance.

Sasuke also wanted to demonstrate his strength to everyone, and one of the ways he did it was by killing Danzo because killing a high-ranking ninja would bolster his ego.

Furthermore, having joined Akatsuki or retaliating against all those who have made him suffer throughout his life will grant him additional strength. Sasuke was unconcerned about anything else because he had already lost his parents and the person he admired (Itachi).

When does Sasuke fight Danzo in the anime?

The mounting menace of the Akatsuki has compelled each village’s Kage to assemble for a summit to examine the matter at this point in the series. The Five Kage Summit arc follows the Pain’s Assault arc, with the anime-only arc “Past Arc: The Locus of Konoha” airing.

How did the two match up?

Danzo’s right arm had 10 Sharingan mixed with Hashirama Senju’s DNA. He could use the banned method Izanagi, which allows the user to create a physical illusion to send back the injuries received by the sender. The only catch is that Danzo loses one of his ten Sharingan in his right arm for every minute the Izanagi is activated. Danzo specialized in nature transformation ninjutsu, concentrating on Wind Release, which involved exhaling to fire bullet-like wind-ammo. Sasuke had a hard time luring him in with his Genjutsu knowledge.

This duel highlighted Sasuke’s Susanoo development as well as his Genjutsu prowess. His Sharingan had reached its use limit after the fight, so he decided to transplant Itachi’s eyes to restore his own to activate the Eternal Mangeky Sharingan and be strong enough to face Naruto Uzumaki. Sasuke’s improvement as a Genjutsu and Sharingan user was evident in their fight in episode #209. Still, it ultimately led him down the path of retribution when he lost Karin during a standoff and attacked the Team 7 minutes later.

After learning the truth about his brother’s actions, Sasuke’s desire to exact vengeance on the village elders for forcing his brother to murder his parents and clan is a very human and legitimate reaction. Still, in exacting his revenge, he failed to be the person he should have been by attempting to sacrifice Karin during a hostage situation.
